RenovaLase® is a gentle laser treatment for genitourinary syndrome of menopause or vaginal atrophy. In menopause, levels of estrogen decrease, which may lead to thinning, drying and inflammation of the vaginal walls. For many women, this not only makes for painful intercourse, but also leads to distressing urinary symptoms. RenovaLase® is a gentle laser solution to these problems that improves levels of lubrication, eliminates itching, burning, relieves vaginal dryness and discomfort in menopausal and post-menopausal women.

Laser treatment offers a longer-lasting, efficient, safe and patient-friendly alternative to vaginal estrogen therapy. In many cases, it is the only option for patients with estrogen-dependent cancer (such as endometrial cancer, breast cancer, etc.) or with a family history of such cancers.

During the RenovaLase® treatment, laser pulses are delivered to the surface of the vagina and vulva. These pulses are specially engineered to produce a mild heating effect, which in turn stimulates the formation of new blood vessels, fibroblast activity and new collagen formation. All of this to improve hydration and diminish symptoms such as dryness, itching, irritation and pain during intercourse. 

RenovaLase® is designed to cause minimal discomfort and is well received by patients. A special laser handpiece, similar to a speculum used during a Pap test, is inserted into the vagina. The vaginal region is then treated with subablative laser pulses. The treatment is non-invasive, allowing you to resume your normal daily activities immediately, without the need for analgesics or antibiotics. The procedure lasts approximately 20 minutes. For the majority of cases, 3 sessions of RenovaLase® with a 1 month interval are recommended.
